The Post and Courier Journalism Preservation Society is a coalition of dedicated donors who invest in The Post and Courier Public Service and Investigative Journalism Fund. These individuals and businesses serve as ambassadors for a transparent press and solutions-based journalism. They value an informed citizenry as the cornerstone of a free and just democracy. Through their advocacy, networking and support they exemplify leadership dedicated to sustaining the health of our state through relentless shared truth.

CHAIRMAN'S CIRCLE

$1 MILLION OR GREATER

The Chairman’s Circle is comprised of philanthropic leaders whose gift of $1 million or more provides the assurance of sustained, substantive and deep investigative reporting in South Carolina.

Members of the Chairman’s Circle will meet individually once each year with the chairman, publisher and executive editor and once each year as a group to review the fund’s impact and vision for the future. Each member will receive one lifetime subscription to the Post and Courier.

FRIENDS OF THE FOURTH ESTATE

Through legacy giving Friends of the Fourth Estate preserve the integrity of the newspaper through an estate gift, bequest or planned gift. They preserve the longevity of The Post and Courier Public Service and Investigative Journalism Fund for generations to come. Members of the Friends of Fourth Estate will be recognized by name in The Post and Courier’s Freedom of the Press Giving Wall at The Post and Courier and may be eligible for room naming rights. Each member will receive one lifetime subscription to the Post and Courier.

PUBLISHER'S ROUNDTABLE
$100,000 OR GREATER

With three-year sustained gifts of $100,000 or greater, the Publisher’s Roundtable will serve as an advisory group, meeting annually with the publisher and executive editor to review the impact of the fund, share ideas and retain a close connection to the goals of the fund. Members of the Publisher’s Roundtable will be recognized annually for three years by name on the Freedom of the Press Giving Wall at The Post and Courier. Each member will receive one lifetime subscription

FRIENDS OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT

$10,000 OR GREATER

With a three-year sustained gift of $10,000 or greater The Friends of the First Amendment are invited annually to a Post and Courier tour and presentation from members of the news staff and editor along with an opportunity for Q&A. They will be recognized annually for three years by name on the Freedom of Press Giving Wall at The Post and Courier. Each member will receive one lifetime subscription.

"JUST THE FACTS" FUNDERS

$1,000 OR GREATER

With a three-year sustained
gift of $1,000 or greater, these generous donors provide the funds necessary for Freedom of Information requests and costs associated with deep-dive investigative reporting. They are recognized twice annually in The Post and Courier.

THE HEADLINE CLUB

$250 OR GREATER

With a three-year sustained gift of $250 or more, the Headline Club members lay the financial foundation for our reporting; helping us to sustain local independent journalism in South Carolina. They are our advocates and support us in giving voice to the voiceless and holding public officials accountable. They will be recognized in The Post and Courier annually.

ANY DONATION AMOUNT

These donors have made a commitment to sustain integrity journalism with a monthly commitment of any amount that best suits their individual giving goals for three years. They will be recognized as a group annually in The Post and Courier and be invited annually to a Post and Courier tour and presentation from members of the news staff and editor along with an opportunity for Q&A.

The Post and Courier Public Service and Investigative Reporting Fund respects the right of any donor who chooses to remain anonymous.

Membership at any level allows the donor to receive the “Together” donor newsletter and invitations to VIP experiences at scheduled events throughout the year by The Post and Courier. All donors’ names will be listed on The Post and Courier website as a society member.
